Congratulations, Russ!

We have traveled south for a couple of days! We are in Jackson visiting our youngest son and his wife. Russ was inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society tonight. It is such an honor and we are SO proud of him! We attended the initiation and dinner tonight and were filled with pride as we met the many doctors and classmates that take care of Russ each day! There were 23 inductees chosen based on compassion, professionalism, and general eagerness to work with these people. I am so glad we were able to be here for such a delightful evening!

Fourth of July

We celebrated the Fourth of July with our children and grandchildren. We went to a cook-out at Jimmy and Roan's. It was so fun watching the children and visiting with my whole family! I am so glad to have these special memories.

After we ate, the children performed for us. Julie played the harmonica wonderfully! Clay sang, and Leah and Grace danced for us. It was a great show!

Catfish Hotel

A few days ago, Jim and I went to Catfish Hotel with Jimmy, Jenny, and their families. The children had such a good time climbing on the rocks!

Jimmy is a cardiologist with Cardiology Associates in Tupelo. He and his wife, Roan, have five adorable children - Olivia (13), Julie (almost 11), Clay (9), Leah (4), and Sam (2). Roan stays at home with the children and homeschools them all! They have a wonderful family!

Jenny works part time as an RN at Magnolia hospital. She and her husband, Jeff, have three sweet children - Will(16), Seth (13), and Grace (5). Jenny also homeschools some of her children. Jeff works at Magnolia as the PACS administrator. Jenny and her family live in my mother's house since she passed away in 2003. It's so nice to keep such precious memories in the family.
